Welcome Back No9!

As we approach our ramp-up week, we’d like to take a moment to update you on a few important matters. Please read all of this carefully, as it has important changes for this training year and program delivery.

Private Facebook Group: We kindly request that if you no longer have a youth enrolled in our program, please remove yourself from our private group and join our public page found here to stay updated on our adventures.

Welcome back BBQ: This is scheduled for Sept 9th. Cadets who were registered with us last year are expected to attend from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday. Each cadet must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event. If a cadet arrives without an adult, we will contact you to return. It’s crucial that adults stay for the entire duration as we have important information to share. Please confirm your attendance with us so that we can prepare accordingly. We have been reaching out via phone calls (please answer them).

Uniforms: Cadets should bring any uniform items that no longer fit, so we can provide replacements that fit properly.

Change of plans? If you have decided over the summer that our program is no longer suitable for you, please return all uniform parts, especially for seniors not continuing with us.

We have an exciting lineup of activities planned for the youth this year! The sooner we can reach you with information, the sooner we can kick off the fun!

Please ensure you respond promptly to phone calls, emails, text messages, and messages via messenger. We need confirmation of attendance numbers by Friday!

Thank you for your attention to these details. Let’s make this year a fantastic one for our cadets.

Big Changes – Cadet365:

The aim of this is that we will post all monthly WROs – they will no longer be posted on our website. You MUST see 2Lt Hemstreet (login information will be given) to gain access to your account. This will be our method of communication moving forward. This will allow cadets and staff to share information easily with cadets rather than our current method of engagement. It is the cadet’s responsibility to share the information with their parents/guardians.

This website will only be used as a way of social media engagement sharing key messages, photos and urgent updates.

What is Cadet365?
Cadet365 is a collaborative platform for Cadets and Adult Staff across Canada. The suite provides access to familiar products like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Planner, OneNote and OneDrive. The aim of the suite is to promote collaboration and facilitate remote work.

The innovative cloud-based platform enables the team to work on both personal and work devices. This is a proven solution that balances the need to innovate and continue working with the need to maintain security and accountability.

Public Affars – Cadet Corrspondents

2Lt Hemstreet is looking for cadets who are experienced in photography, public speaking media writing, etc. If you are interested in this secondary task, please make yourself known to 2Lt Hemstreet.

This would count towards high school volunteer hours and each cadet would get a letter of professional recommendation to add to your portfolio.

September WROS – Next month October’s WROS (ideally) will only be posted on Teams.
